Tastelog is a private food diary for iOS, made by one person. Mail reaches a human, usually within a day or two.

I lost my diary / I have a new phone. Tastelog starts you off with an anonymous account, which lives on the device and cannot be recovered if the device is gone. Attaching a sign-in (Apple, Google, or email) is what makes a diary recoverable — you can do this at any time from the Taste tab. If you have already lost a device without attaching one, we are genuinely unable to restore that diary; there is no copy tied to your name, because there was no name.
How do I delete my account? In the app: Taste → Edit profile → the ⋯ menu → Delete account. It erases the account and everything attached to it — memories, photos, wall pins, comments — from our systems. It cannot be undone.
How do I delete a single memory? Open the memory, then use the edit control on the card.
How do I report something a friend posted, or block someone? Long-press a comment or a pinned photo to report it. On a friend row or an incoming request, the ⋯ menu holds both Report and Block. Blocking severs the connection and hides you from each other; reports come to us, and we act on them within 24 hours. You can also mail the address above.
Is my diary public? No. Every memory is private by default. The one exception is the wall: pinning a photo to a restaurant’s wall publishes that photo, and the app says so at the moment you do it. Nothing is ever pinned automatically.
What happens to my photos? They are stored privately and shown to you through short-lived links. They are not sent to any AI service and are not used to train anything. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
